In today's competitive world, standing out from the crowd is essential for a successful career. So how do you stand out from the rest and get noticed by hiring managers?

The recruitment process is a tough and lengthy one, and it can often leave people feeling like they're at the mercy of the system. Unfortunately, there's no magic wand that can wave away all your worries or make everything perfect. However, there are some things you can do to prepare yourself and give yourself the best chance possible.

Tip #1 - Create a standout CV

Create a standout CV that showcases your skills and experience. Keep up with your CV: if you've been out of work for a while, it may be time to update your CV so that it reflects the skills you've acquired during this time off.

You can try to showcase your skills or qualifications with and also show that you have lots of experience in similar roles by mentioning your previous companies, if they are relevant. And don't forget to mention any awards or accolades you might have achieved during your previous jobs.

Tip #2 - Research the company & understand their ethos

Each company has a different ethos and different values; so to really stand out in the recruitment process, you have to understand these and show them that you do.

Tip #3 - Write a targeted cover letter

Demonstrate your interest with a targeted cover letter that addresses specific needs of the company. A cover letter based on what you learnt about the company and their values and ethos is exactly what will set you apart from everyone else. It will also allow the company to get to know you and what you are interested in
